Dr Matthew Cahill has been training colleagues and health professionals since he qualified in 2000.

He is a recognised Educational Supervisor through Health Education England, and is also an Honorary Clinical Tutor at Liverpool University.

His Eating Disorder Training Day has been attended by over 250 health professionals over Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and London. This full day's training includes the diagnosis, aetiology, classification, treatment and management of patients with a range of eating disorders. It also includes issues of capacity, best interest, Mental Health Act, legal issues and recent Court of Protection cases. Eating disorders are increasing in prevalence and severity. Many health professionals, teachers and social workers are coming into contact with these patients, with little training, confidence and skill to help them. This training offers professionals an opportunity to increase their knowledge, confidence and skills in this area. Learning objectives are always met, and we can tailor the training to meet your needs.
